Who is behind DLR Test Trainer, why the app exists and how the content on this website is produced.
Who is behind DLR Test Trainer?
I am Noa Walser. DLR Test Trainer is an independent one-person project: I develop the app, write the content on this website and answer support requests myself. There is no company in the background, no investors, and no affiliation with the German Aerospace Center (DLR), any airline or any flight school.
Why does the app exist?
I am preparing for the DLR test myself. The app grew out of my own preparation: I wanted to practise the test types every day in short sessions on my phone, offline and without an account, and see where I stand against the commonly reported target values. Whatever helps me goes into the app.
How is the content produced?
The articles and answers on this website follow a few fixed rules:
- Sources first. Facts about procedure, costs, locations and selection processes come from the official pages of DLR, the European Flight Academy, SWISS and the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation. Every article lists its sources at the end.
- Figures with a date. Salaries, prices and terms change, so every figure states where it comes from and when it was published.
- No original test items. The app recreates the mechanics of the test types independently. Module descriptions are based on publicly available information and experience reports.
- No guarantees. No app can guarantee that you pass, and neither can this one. The documents you receive from DLR or your airline are always what counts.
- Transparency. Where articles mention other providers, they state that they are written by the maker of a competing app.
